Crown process

Placing a dental crown usually requires two visits to the Dentist. At the first visit, we will take a few X-rays to check the roots of the tooth and the surrounding bone. Next, we use an anaesthetic to numb the tooth and the gum tissue. After this, we reshape the tooth to make room for the crown. After reshaping the tooth, we will use a paste or putty to make an impression of the tooth. During this first visit, we will make a temporary crown to cover and protect the prepared tooth while the permanent crown is made.. At the second visit, we remove the temporary crown and check the fit and colour of the permanent crown. Once you are happy with the crown, we use a local anaesthetic to numb the tooth, and then place the permanent crown.. Do you want to transform your smile with crowns?
