Restorative dentistry
Restorative dentistry refers to dental procedures that help alleviate pain and restore comfort among people facing dental issues. Many people may need restorative dentistry to address issues related to the state of their teeth and gums. Rather than waiting for an oral problem to become unbearable, it is essential to regularly visit a dentist to detect dental issues before they worsen.
We offer the following restorative treatments:
Root canals
Root canal treatments eliminate bacteria from an infected root canal, prevents reinfection of the tooth, and saves the natural tooth. During a root canal, we remove the infected pulp. Next, the inside of the tooth is carefully disinfected, cleaned, and sealed with a filling. Although getting a root canal can be daunting, we aim to make the process as comfortable and pain-free for you as possible.
Fillings
Fillings are an easy and quick way to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay. We detect cavities by using a small mirror to examine the surfaces of teeth. To place a filling, we first remove the decay. Next, we fill the cavity with a suitable material. Only your dentist can detect if you have a cavity that needs a filling- this is why regular check-ups are essential.
Treatment for Sensitivity
If you have sensitive teeth, certain activities, such as eating, drinking and brushing can cause temporary, sharp pain in your teeth. Sensitive teeth are generally the result of worn down tooth enamel or exposed tooth roots. However, sometimes sensitivity is caused by other factors, such as a cavity, chipped tooth, a worn filling, or gum disease. Contact Ashmed Dental if you are experiencing teeth sensitivity. We will assess your teeth and determine the underlying cause of your tooth pain. Depending on the results, we may recommend desensitizing toothpaste, fluoride treatment, or root canal treatment.
